Almost nothing brings me joy like Teta Mari. It's simple, fresh food with a Middle Eastern vibe. Lots of meze/tapas/platter/deli type stuff and all of it is fabulous. Especially, their hummus and felafel on a plate - heaven, I tell you. Give Teta's Famous Lemonade - and most of the American menu - a skip though.
You can also take your own hard liquor and last I checked, there's no corkage on it. (And let's be real, what's not to love about that?) The owner is often around and always delightful. The waiters will get in on your table's inside jokes. It's lovely. Also, a great place to stop after a morning run or cycle.
My biggest complaint about Teta Mari is that they are not open for dinner. If they were, they would be the perfect place for virtually any event: friends, colleagues, clients, spouses, lovers, other assorted family - all could be appropriately hosted here.
Rating: Breakfast's on you, right?
